The latest edition, the Helmsley 1045 offers a two-section table with a head section tailored for Chiropractic manipulation. The Helmsley 1050 is a three section plinth with special features particularly designed for chiropractic applications. Both couches are specifically designed to give the practitioner close working access and enable the client to be positioned for optimal spinal adjustment.

Beautelle launches new Shiatsu Couch

BEAUTELLE LAUNCHES NEW SHIATSU COUCH....
Beautelle’s latest edition to their couch range proves that they can design and build equipment to accommodate every discipline.

Beautelle’s therapy and medical equipment ranges are all designed with the individual needs of the therapist and practitioner very much in mind, and their latest model has been especially developed for Shiatsu Massage Therapy.

Shiatsu massage involves pressure, breathing, joint rotation and controlled stretching and the practitioner therefore requires a particular specification of table to work on.

The Shiatsu Couch newly features in Beautelle’s Osborne range of portable tables and is manufactured here in the UK to order.

The high specification two-piece flat table is constructed from highest quality poplar wood from renewable sources, is 27” wide and has a cable tensor system to provide great strength and support. Most importantly, the table height is very low and can be adjusted from 24” down to 16”. It also folds and is portable.

It has recently been utilized to equip a brand new ‘state of the art’ TV Production Make-up Trailer used on location for the series of Dr Who.

Beautelle’s latest hydraulic lift chair, designed especially for make-up and beauty treatments, meets all the new safety guidelines including a foot rest bar and head rest support.

The Chatsworth 405 Chair, has also been specially ordered by the BBC for use by the make-up artist’s on the latest series of The One Show on BBC1 and also for Channel 4’s Shameless series.

EMBARRASSING ILLNESSES -New series starts Thursday 17 May, 8.30pm on Channel 4
A staggering 40% of people in the UK put off going to the GP out of embarrassment.
The Embarrassing Illnesses Clinic is open for business to tackle those medical problems that people would rather ignore than take to a doctor. Nothing will be too shameful or shocking, as this new series explores the conditions and ailments that leave many more than a little red-faced and aims to de-stigmatise common complaints.

Three doctors – Dawn Harper, Christian Jessen and Pixie McKenna - will be throwing open the doors of the clinic which has been completely furnished by leading Medical Equipment manufacturer Beautelle Ltd. The Ch4 production team utilised Beautelle’s design expertise and manufacturing know how to fully equip the special clinic with the latest state of the art medical equipment including Examination Couches, Medical Privacy Screens, Patient Chairs, and Surgery Trolleys.

By the end of each programme, viewers will have discovered how to identify symptoms, where to seek advice and, most importantly, find a cure for their awkward ailments.

Nothing will be too embarrassing for the medics at the frontline of fighting blushes as they investigate the UK’s most Embarrassing Illnesses.

Cornwall College leads the way

Beautelle Equips State of the Art Facility at Cornwall College...
The Cornwall Complementary Centre, located within the Penhaligon building at Cornwall College Camborne is a specialist clinic that will provide a ‘Centre of Excellence’ to train the future practitioners of complementary health therapies.

This brand new state of the art facility was officially opened in April 2007 by Dr Michael Dixon, Visiting Professor at the School of Integrated Health at the University of Westminster, who is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the Peninsula Medical School, a Trustee of the Prince's Foundation for Integrated Health and Chair of NHS Alliance representing Primary Care, Primary Care Trusts and GP practices.

He said; “Here you really have got it all, practitioner networking, teaching and a wonderful new centre for students. Within the next four to five years, the NHS will undergo radical changes and what Cornwall College is doing here fits into what the NHS is doing. We mustn’t underestimate the power of people to heal. Integrated medicine is the ‘best of both worlds’; palliative care and symptomatic care. ”

The new facility has been equipped by British Professional Therapy Equipment manufacturer Beautelle and will provide a dedicated training facility for those studying the Complementary Health Therapies Foundation Degree, approved by the University of Plymouth.

Beautelle’s Marketing Director Sarah Dandy comments “obviously a lot of hard work has gone into this new centre and the whole design reflects very high professional standards, which is why our top of the range Blenheim Beechwood treatment tables have been chosen to equip this new facility. The Centre has already played host to the Massage in Schools Programme (MISP), the first of a series of external specialist training sessions for complementary therapy students and also provides the I.T.E.C. (International Therapies Examination Council) training in massage, sports injury therapy, reflexology and aromatherapy as well as offering an introduction to homeopathy, traditional medicines and counselling.

EXTRA WIDE ELECTRONIC COUCH ...launched by beautelle therapy & medical equipment

Beautelle are delighted to announce the launch of a new extra wide electronic couch to their existing portfolio of treatment couches.

The new Buckingham 540 is a high specification electronic couch model specifically developed by Beautelle to provide a larger working surface and will suit a wide variety of medical and therapeutic treatments.

This versatile and easy to use multi-functional couch has many added features and, as standard, has a 40” wide upholstered top as opposed to a normal 24-26” width. There is also an option of having this manufactured even wider, to 48”.

Electronic height adjustment can be made at any point around the couch using the foot console- leaving the therapist’s hands free. In addition the exceptionally low start height allows wheelchair transfers. There are also retractable castor wheels which lift from the end of the couch using a foot lever, allowing for really easy manoeuvrability.

As a leading equipment provider to the spa, salon, health, medical & leisure markets Beautelle have been repeatedly asked to manufacture a wider couch. This Autumn's event was the best yet with customers travelling to the Birmingham factory from as far as Cornwall, Colchester, London and Manchester. Beautelle is situated in the middle of the country within just a few minutes of the M6 motorway network and customers took advantage of this convenient location to come along to discuss their equipment needs and take advantage of the the personal and expert service offered to them on the day.Visitors particularly commented on how tremendous it was to have the opportunity to deal on a ‘one-to-one’ basis and be afforded a little more time and attention than a trade show environment can offer them. Customers also took advantage of excellent discounts given on all orders placed on the day. This ergonomic design corrects posture and gives maximum support to relieve and prevent back pain. It reduces work related upper limb disorders, and minimises aches and pains in wrists, arms and shoulders. The use of this stool with a correct seated posture will help to avoid repetitive strain injury (RSI).

Uses and applications

Correct seating
